Weirdos
One of the strongest bands to emerge from the Los Angeles, California, USA punk explosion, the Weirdos were formed in 1976 following a short spell known as the Barbies and Luxurious Adults. Comprising John Denny (vocals), Dix Denny (guitar), Cliff Roman (guitar), David Trout (bass) and Nickey Beat (drums), the Weirdos recorded several excellent singles, notably Destroy All Music (1977) and We Got The Neutron Bomb (1978), but the group were plagued by internal problems. The mini-album, WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY?, showed some of the Weirdos’ early fire but further changes in the rhythm simply undermined their progress. They broke up in 1981, but reformed in 1990.
