Sinitta
b. Sinitta Renay Malone, 19 October 1966, Seattle, Washington, USA. The daughter of singer Miquel Brown, Sinitta's brand of manufactured disco-pop was aided by competent studio production and songwriting assistance by a variety of talent, namely the Stock, Aitken And Waterman team, plus, at various times, Ralf Rene Maue, Paul Hardcastleand James George Hargreaves. Sinitta's pleasant appearance went a long way in securing, for a while, constant coverage in the British teen pop magazines. This was reflected her run of UK hits on the Fanfare label in the latter half of the '90s which was launched by So Macho/‘Cruising (number 2, 1986) and was distinguished by three further Top 10 hits, Toy Boy (1987), Cross My Broken Heart (1988), Right Back Where We Started From (1989). Later chart positions boasted a Top 20 hit with a cover version of the 1973 Robert Knight hit Love On A Mountain Top (number 20, 1989). In early 1993 Sinitta released THE SUPREMES EP, which as the name suggests is a collection of Supremes covers.
