Charlie Sexton
b. 1968, San Antonio, Texas, USA. This singing multi-instrumentalist became a professional musician in early adolescence, joining Joe Ely's band as a guitarist in 1981. Both on stage and in the studio, he accompanied the Bob Dylan and Don Henley (notably on BUILDING THE PERFECT BEAST), and collaborated with Keith Richards and Ron Wood on the Easy Street film soundtrack. His debut on MCA Records (PICTURES FOR PLEASURE) and its 1986 single (Beat's So Lonely) hovered between numbers 15 and 20 in their respective US charts. Entries as moderate have followed, and the precocious Sexton's success has yet to be sealed with a major hit.
