Rockers Hi-Fi
Midlands, UK, based dance outfit, led by DJ Dick (b. Richard Whittingham) and musician Glynn Bush, who have been compared to the On-U Sound troupe via their ambient dub/deep trance techniques. They made their debut in February 1992 with a single, Breathless, dedicated to DJ Dick's club of the same name. Their 1993 single Rockers To Rockers was originally issued a year before as the b-side to limited edition promos of Push Push, (previously titled Come Again). As is usual, it was based on deep dub grooves, with adventurous drum and bass patterns. Other singles include the self-descriptive Stoned, recorded in collaboration with fellow-Birmingham outfit Groove Corporation.
