Reel To Real
Featuring the antics of The Mad Stuntman (b. c.1969, Trinidad, West Indies), whose vocals towered over the house ragga breakthrough I Like To Move It. A resident of Brooklyn, New York, since the age of nine, Stuntman took his name from the Lee Majors' television series 'The Fall Guy'. He met prolific producer Erick ‘More’ Morillo through a friend and the two combined on tracks for STRICTLY RHYTHM which they never envisioned to be crossover material. They were proved emphatically wrong by the sustained sales of I Like To Move It, when it was licensed to Positiva in the UK. Its chart life was an erratic one, running a sequence of weekly positions which read 10, 12, 12, 10, 9, 7, 5, 8, 7, 7, boosted by a 40-date club tour. That and the fact that at no stage was it playlisted by Radio 1 DJs. They followed up with Go On Move.
