New Frontier
This melodic US pop-rock group was formed in 1988 by ex- Billy Satellite vocalist Monty Byron and ex- Gamma bassist Glen Letsch. Adding David Neuhauser (keyboards) and Marc Nelson (drums), they successfully negotiated a deal with the newly-formed Mika label. Their debut album was produced by Ritchie Zito (of Heart and Cheap Trick fame) and featured a collection of hi-tech AOR numbers that were targeted at the Billboard charts. Failing to generate media interest, the band disintegrated shortly after the album's release. Letsch went on to play with Robin Trower.
