Bernie Marsden
This masterly UK guitarist came to prominence in the '70s during his stints with Babe Ruth, UFO and Whitesnake. At the turn of the '70s, Marsden took time out between Whitesnake projects, to record solo material. He was assisted by noteworthy musicians who included Ian Paice, Cozy Powell and Simon Phillips (drums), Don Airey (keyboards), Neil Murray and Jack Bruce (bass). The albums featured melodic hard rock, with Marsden successfully handling the vocals as well as some extended guitar workouts. He subsequently formed Bernie Marsden's S.O.S. which later became known as Alaska. Marsden is an accomplished musician able to give enormous variety and depth to his heavy-rock based music.
