Love/Hate
This US, Los Angeles, California-based quartet, comprised Jizzy Pearl (lead vocals), Jon E. Love (guitar), Skid Rose (bass) and Joey Gold (drums). With a streetwise attitude and a highly talented frontman, their debut album, produced by Tom Werman, was released to widespread critical acclaim. Seeming like a hybrid of Guns N'Roses and Mötley Crüe, their songs dealt with the well-worn themes of sex, drugs, drink and rock ‘n’ roll. In the live setting the band are awesome, playing with total commitment and generating incredible intensity with their inimitable brand of funk-infused, jitterbug rock. WASTED IN AMERICA confirmed many people's faith in the band and recruited many converts.
