Bobbie Leecan
Both b. USA. Bobby Leecan was a fine and fluent single string guitarist, banjoist and an occasional kazooist and vocalist. He made most of his recordings in the company of Robert Cooksey, whose rather sweet, warbling harmonica favours clear tone production rather than the slurs and bends of most blues players. Their output lies in the borderland between blues, vaudeville and jazz, ranging from Dirty Guitar Blues to Ain't She Sweet, and blending easily with the jazz cornet of Tom Morris. Some sources suggest that they were based in Philadelphia.
