Annabel Lamb
Although this UK pop vocalist is relegated to the one-hit wonder category, her unusual vocal delivery of the Doors’ hit Riders On The Storm created considerable interest and made the UK Top 30. The brooding, breathy vocal style was used to great effect on this and her subsequent releases. Her backing musicians comprised: Robin Langridge (keyboards), Steve Greetham (bass), Chris Jarrett (guitar) and Jim Dvorak (trumpet). The hybrid of jazz, rock and reggae consistently produced by Wally Brill found only a loyal coterie of fans. Little has been heard of Annabel since 1988.
