Eddie Kirk
b. 21 March 1919, Greeley, Colorado, USA. Kirk actually sang and played guitar with the Beverly Hillbillies in the early '30s. He later appeared on the Compton, TOWN HALL PARTY, KXLA's HOMETOWN JAMBOREE, the Gene Autry radio shows and in several b-Westerns. Kirk was an excellent yodeler and twice won the National Yodeling Championship (1935-36). In the late '40s, he recorded for Capitol and had two US country chart Top 10 hits in 1949 with The God's Were Angry With Me and his version of George Morgan's Candy Kisses.
