Larry Graham
b. 14 August 1946, Beaumont, Texas, USA. Graham moved to Oakland, California while still a child and by his late-teens had established a proficiency on several instruments. A member of Sly And The Family Stone between 1967 and 1972, he left to form Graham Central Station, one of the era's most popular funk bands. In 1980 Larry embarked on a solo career which opened successfully with One In A Million You, a US Top 10 hit. The singer enjoyed R&B hits with When We Get Married (1980) and Just Be My Lady (1981), while his most recent chart entry was If You Need My Love Tonight, a 1987 duet with Aretha Franklin.
