Bruce Gilbert
Bruce Gilbert forged a reputation as a purveyor of challenging music as guitarist/vocalist and composer with Wire. When this acclaimed art/punk quartet broke up in 1980, he joined group bassist Graham Lewis in Dome, a unit which continued its predecessor's avant garde inclinations. The duo also worked as P'o and Duet Emmo, the latter of which marked a collaboration with Mute label boss, Daniel Miller. Although Wire were reunited in 1984, Gilbert embarked on a concurrent solo career with THIS WAY, the enthralling nature of which was maintained on the artist's second set, THE SHIVERING MAN. Both albums confirm his position as one of Britain's most innovative musicians.
