A Foot In Coldwater
This prolific rock band produced four albums during their five-year career. Canadian in origin, they comprised Alex Machin (vocals), Paul Naumann (guitar), Bob Horne (keyboards), Hugh Leggat (bass) and Danny Taylor (drums). Concentrating on a traditional approach to songwriting, their work was characterized by Machin's expressive vocals and Naumann's melodic guitar lines. Leggat went on to form the The Rolling Stones-influenced Private Eye, and later a progressive outfit under his own surname. Machin, meanwhile, would perform vocal duties with Champion.
