Every Mother's Nightmare
This USA ‘sleaze-rock’ heavy metal band, surprisingly originating from the home of country music, Nashville, were formed in 1989 by vocalist Rick Ruhl and guitarist Steve Malone. With the addition of bassist Mark McMurty and drummer Jim Phipps, they signed a deal with Arista in 1990. Their self-titled debut, released the same year, combined Kiss, Aerosmith, Tesla and Bon Jovi influences to powerful effect. Their dynamism and musical palate gave the songs a cutting edge that elevated the resultant collection above mere plagiarism.
