Enchantment
Five-piece vocal group formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1966 comprising Emanuel (EJ) Johnson, David Banks, Joe (Jobie) Thomas, Ed (Mickey) Clanton and Bobby Green. Their career did not take off, however, until they moved to Los Angeles in the '70s, signing to United Artists and recording an excellent debut album and hitting the Top 30 of the pop charts with Gloria. They subsequently signed with Roadshow (via RCA) and returned to the singles chart with It's You That I Need and Sunshine. They also performed the soundtrack to the film Deliver Us From Evil. In 1983 they signed for Columbia, releasing one album before negotiating a new contract with Prelude, for whom they issued one single, Feel Like Dancing, in 1984.
