Eater
This UK punk-rock band formed in 1976, while the band members were still at school. Comprising Andy Blade (vocals), Dee Generate (drums), Brian Chevette (guitar) and Ian Woodcock (bass), they made their vinyl debut with 15 (a bastardized version of Alice Cooper's Eighteen), on THE ROXY, LONDON W.C.2. compilation, recorded during the spring of 1977. With equipment purchased from Woolworths, they were picked up by The Label, which released five singles including the debut Outside View and Lock It Up, with the latter featuring a dire version of T. Rex's Jeepster on the b-side. The album followed later the same year, but it only served to further highlight the band's obvious musical limitations.
