Also half of Underworld and Lemon Interrupt, Emerson is a very active and highly visible DJ, who became a fan of electro as a 14-year old at which time he also bought his first decks. He was in place for the rise of acid house, spinning at club in Southend, Essex, England, before emerging as a real talent at venues including the Limelight and Milky Bar. However, his attitude to his craft is refreshingly ego-free: ‘At the end of the day all a DJ does is put pieces of plastic on turntables’. Stylistically his modern tastes favour trance and European hard house. His remixes include Simply Red's Thrill Me, Gat Decors' Passion,. Björk's Human Behaviour and Shakespeare's Sister's Hey You (Turn Up Your Radio) and Black Sky.
