A trio of young rappers from Philadelphia, USA who are visually distinguished by their closely shaved heads, but the appearance is deceptive. Far from the Onyx school of macho hardcore rap, Qu'ran, Taji and Tarik arrived with a much more scholarly view of things, from a profoundly Muslim perspective. Sadly, many of their lyrics were ghost-written for them, which in the world of rap, where self-expression is everything, led many to view them as contrived.
