D'Molls
This Chicago, Illinois-based heavy metal band featured Desi Rexx (vocals/guitar), Billy Dior (drums), S.S. Priest (guitar), Nigel Itson (vocals) and Lizzy Valentine (bass). Their self-titled 1988 debut album caused quite a stir at the time of its release, with its self-assured Aerosmith-meets-Poison approach. However, the songwriting on the follow-up, WARPED, was weak, being rigidly formularized and lacked the cutting edge of its predecessor. They relocated to Los Angeles, but with poor reviews and sales to match, they disbanded in 1991. Rexx would work with former Derringer guitarist Danny Johnson, while Itson joined Millionaire Boys Club.
