Bunny DeBarge
b. Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. Bunny DeBarge was a vocalist in the family group DeBarge from their inception in 1978 until 1987. She was the first member of the group to be married, and missed several national tours during her three pregnancies, although she appeared regularly on their Motown releases. In 1987, she chose to remain as a solo artist with the label rather than follow the rest of the group to Striped Horse Records. Her loyalty was rewarded when IN LOVE, a light pop/soul concoction, was a minor US hit album, and Save The Best For Me became a US Top 20 black music hit.
