Terry Boylan
Boylan first attracted attention during the mid-60s as a member of the Appletree Theatre, an inventive US group which adeptly blended melody with experimentation. He subsequently embarked on a solo career, completing the worthwhile ALIAS BOONA with the help of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker (later of Steely Dan). The album was not a commercial success and for several years Boylan lived in the shadow of his brother John, who had become a renowned producer through work with Linda Ronstadt and the Eagles. TERENCE BOYLAN was a superior singer/songwriter set, redolent of Jackson Browne, but despite maintaining its high standard on SUZY, the artist was unable to secure deserved acclaim.
