Breathless
This six-piece melodic AOR band was formed in the USA's mid-west in 1978. Breathless was assembled by ex-Michael Stanley Band vocalist Jonah Koslen who, after a successful search, completed the line-up with Alan Greene (guitar), Mark Avsec (keyboards), Bob Benjamin (bass) and drummers Rodney Psycka and Kevin Valentine. They signed to EMI in 1979 and released two albums in the space of 18 months. Their lightweight, Kansas meets Toto-style melodic compositions failed to win an appreciative audience. The band split in 1981, with Koslen releasing a solo album, ACES, two years later.
