Boulevard
This Canadian band was formed in 1984 by saxophonist and ex-session musician Mark Holden. With the addition of David Forbes (vocals), Randy Gould (guitar), Andrew Johns (keyboards), Randy Burgess (bass) and Jerry Adolphe (drums), the six-man line-up was complete. Initially, they pursued a highly melodic AOR direction, similar to Toto and REO Speedwagon. INTO THE STREET marked a move towards a more hard rock approach, with Foreigner, Bad Company and Bon Jovi influences. They have established a solid fan base in their native Canada, but this success has yet to be translated elsewhere, despite the efforts of Bryan Adams' manager Bruce Allen on their behalf.
